We constructed a deep structure along the river that required continuous dewatering and soil tiebacks to keep the excavation stable and safe. The work demanded tight safety controls, careful planning, and constant on-site management from our team.

We excavated over 30,000 cubic yards of material to create open pasture and a 3.5‑acre recreational pond. All usable soil was kept on site for the owner’s benefit. In some areas we cut as deep as 13 feet to achieve a pond depth suitable for multiple fish species, leaving select trees and structure in place to optimize future fishing conditions for the client.

O’Malley Construction surveyed and laid out the site using local control, then cut a one‑mile access road through pine forest to reach the project area. After clearing the five‑acre parcel with our equipment and burning it, we tilled and fertilized the soil, leaving the client with a laser‑graded yard ready for their next build.

Because the ground wasn’t stable enough for trucks, we relied on specialty equipment—floater tires, mat roads, and other access solutions—to keep work moving safely and efficiently.
